Political motive (Aftermath of the mumbai attacks)

I was curiously watching the news today as to what is in store in future. there were three headlines that struck me, "Pak threatens warlike situation, may relocate army to indian borders if tension rises". "U.S worried over rising tension between india and pak", " Country outraged, wants soft PM to take harsh measures, enough is enough"

Two days before pak foreign minister and president were shouting on top of their voice that we would support india in all possible way, but a day after a statement comes from its defence that they are ready to move the troops.

Why is US worrying so much due to rise in tension in the subcontinent?,
In present day pak troops are on the western border fighting taliban and al-queda tribes on the US command the area known as Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA). Moving troops from that area could derail the coming Obama administration’s hopes of creating a broader, regional response to the threat posed by Al-Queda and taliban. U.S wants pakistan to concentrate on Afghanistan border rather than Indian borders. But what this attack has done is pushed india on a verge of desperation and pakistan would definitely respond.

Whos benefitting in all this??. India not for sure, neither US nor pakistan too, it has already so much of pressure from US to curb terrorism and with recently newly elected government which itself is not so strong and efficient and economy on verge of bankruptcy, pakistan government involvment looks unrealistic.

Than was this attack carried out with out any motive, i feel there's much larger motive
What circumstances points out is that the atacks were strategically planned by al-Qaeda through the Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) militants they train. It is trying to work out a space for itself in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA). They have been hurting very badly in there because of pressure from the Pakistani army and US missile attacks.

This is a very critical period for al-Qaeda. It has only a few months. The US is preparing to send 20,000 troops into Afghanistan by April. The al-Qaeda is under tremendous pressure. They need to do something
If tensions between India and Pakistan rise, the army will be moved to the Indian border, pakistan will respond by moving its army from the Afghanistan border to the Indian one. And al-Qaeda will have a free run of FATA. This can be one version of speculation and i feel the  most logical keeping in view the global perspective.

Our government needs to be very carefull here in taking any kind of decision because its very critical period this and any decision driven by emotion can cause real crisis for the country even bigger than the present one.

So what are possible events likely to unfold
  • India waging war on pakistan-well first of all we should understand we cannot do what US did after 9/11, first of all we are not US and pakistan is not afghanistan, it has nuke and a developed military that can cause lot of damage to us, and we must understand pakistan has nothing to lose, its economy is on verge of bankruptcy but we have everything at stake. and frankly we dont have a leader whos cabable of doing that, our PM is good in numbers, very humble man but with due respect not at all an efficient leader. He lacks firm and harsh decision making ability which is most important characteristic of efficeint leader.
  • India selectively targetting and bombing the lashkar camps- this is the best possible option as far as i see but we need pak support for this, if pak decides not to cooperate than everything will boil down to option one which will be foolishness on our side, because in long run we are at lose.
  • Nothing changing- Well this is also a likely option, history shows when such events occur lot of hue and cry take place but end result is zero. i pray from bottom of my heart that this is not one such event and we are going to see some end results
whatever be the option taken it is very necessary that, the decision is not emotions driven and under pressure because that will hurt our country in the long run, i have kept my fingers crossed lets see how everything unfolds

Yes chintu...u may be right with some of ur thoughts pertaining to Indias stand in NOT issuing a WAR at Pakistan....u gave some very good thoughts that Pakistan has nothing to lose..the Al-Queida is strategically looking War against US etc etc...but these Bastards are to be shown who the Dad is...INDIA needs either a YOUNG LEADER like OBAMA...or like NARENDRA MODI...who is very much successful in keeping them shut... apart from this INDIA definitely has a better Position in GLOBAL MAP than PAKISTAN and i m sure that if given choice other countries would definitely prefer INDIA over PAkistan.... so i dont think Pakistan has the GUTS to use NUKE on our LAND.... i would suggest make a OUTCAST Situation for PAk people... then see without any help from anywhere in the world they would be demolished..and then will beg from their very own FATHER INDIA.... i would also like to quote one very important thought
" IT IS THE GOD WHO WILL MAKE THE FATE OF TERRORISTS.....BUT.... IT IS OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO FIX A MEETING OF TERRORIST WITH GOD..""

    wht say bro!!

ya i am not against teaching them a lesson, and even if we wage a war than final outcome would be on our side no doubt, but imagine the kind of lose we would have to pay, our economic growth will be hurled, and what is the guarantee that they wot strike back again, we have to remember we are not US and not so powerful too, so in the end we going to lose more than gain by a war, war is no solution to anything as seen by US war on iraq, a country like US is really bleeding at the war front so its time to take decision looking at long term perspective not emotionally and always keep this in mind that pakistan as a country its people are not terrorist there are certain groups which their government is supporting that are culprits and we have to teach them a lesson not the country and its people its not justified

    @jack ..again...

Why do u think that we are not strong... just because we dint have money ..or else..i will again point out that only the LEADERSHIP is what INDIA needs... then see..

Ya i know there will be lives lost.. snd i m totally against of that... but if i m ready to face the situation..m sure there must be 1000's of others who will support me that this will be only once... then keep rest for future...
  4. jack Says:
m not saying we are not strong we are strong to attack not to sustain that attack, think realistically happy do we have 200 billion a year to spend on war no we dont, than after that when we would be going down as a economy not able to sustain immense loses, we would curse government only. we are not a superpower and as i have written pakistan have nothing to lose we have evrything at stake. pakistan will be wanting that theres a war cause its already bankrupt and it will have something to blame...again i am not saying we should not do anything but going for a war will be stupid at this point of time
  5. Navchawla Says:
i agree with jack...we do have power, money and everything but its about strategy tht we follow against the enemy...looking at the situation, we cannot rage a war against pak just like tht, there are foreign issue s too..n the point tht pak is not like afghanistan is also true..n besides its not pak that has attacks it were the terrorist who dont belong to pak n is it not completely proven (only alleged) tht there is pak's involvement in these activities...another point i wud like to make is tht in any war the citizens have to face a lot of problems n given the global economic situation, it is not advisable to flow in the sentiments.

hii evryone, i read all the discussion thats going on,mr happy even i was thinking the same thing two days ago as you are to just go and hit pak, rest will be taken care off..but as i started thinkig more from my mind than emotionally i found out it would be utter foolishness if we do any of such act like waging war, as well pointed by chintu in his blog and later discussion too, we cannot sustain a war at this point of time, there are other better alternatives but war is out of question thats what i feel
  7. Maninder. Says:
    Dear ALL

Thanks for ur comments on my views of NOT ISSUING a WAR against PAKISTAN

Ok... They DOnt have anything to Lose so they can do WHATEVER They will feel like... It was the time when INDIA needed Some of the leaders like BHAGAT SINGH who actually stood In FRONT Of THE BRITISH which ACTUALLY RESULTED In the INDEPENDENCE OF INDIA....i dont feel like MR so Called MAHATAMA GANDHI GAVE US the INDEPENDENCE.... u can see today also their were BLASTS in ASSAM ...AGAIN..... what to say about that

I Dont REGRET being EMOTIONAL in KILLING THE ENEMIES....ASAP.... YES their has to be SOME STRATEGIES....BUT...... THEY HAVE TO BE TAUGHT A LESSON....and once again i would say.... ASAP....

U must have seen many other peoples blogs... a video being circulated.... those BASTARDS.... are saying whatever they want... and as usual our very own INDIAN POLITICIANS are just RESIGINING from their POSTS....at the time WHEN INDIA NEEDS THEM TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITES.... they are just HIDING from thier ROLES....

    WHAT ABOUT THAT?????

    WHO IS BLAME????

WHO SHOULD DO WHAT IS REQUIRED NOW????

THE ANSWER LIES SIMPLY IN US!!!!!!!!!
  8. jack Says:
countries dont run on emotions, when you talk about independence it was a mix effort of evry one, mahatma gandhi, bhagat singh. we got independence when we struck a balance between agrressive approach and conservative one, either of one wouldnt have suffice.
i am not at all supporting indian poilitician but i am against emotional heads who without thinking about the long term pain which will have to go through are talking about war as if it was a game.
imagine the type of monetary and human lose we will have to go through.
there are ways to teach them a lesson, US supporting us we can pressurie them to hit the LeT terrorist camp in their country.
War is never a solution to anything just a cause of another problem.
again i am repeting this that pakistan is not a terrorist country nor all its people are terrorist.. its the extremist groups in their country that are problem...
and for your information india has more hindu extremist groups in the country than any other country in the world...so does that mean we are terrorist country..NO
a normal citizen in any country hates terrorism he may be of any religion..so its not right to talk about a war becasue as you all know in war its people like you and me the common man who are worst affected in long run
  9. Neha Says:
its seems like theres a heated debate going on, well i really dont have an opinion on this after reading all the comments i sometimes i feel we should go and destroy pakistan, but the other moment i realise this will hurt us all in long run, as u rightly said jack "War is never a solution to anything just a cause of another problem"
i dont know what exactly we as a citizen has to do,
but what evr we or over leaders do i just wish something changes quickly to improve the situation
